About Uwase Mart
Uwase Mart is a 100% Rwandan-owned company on a simple mission: make quality everyday goods accessible to every Rwandan household at honest, transparent prices. We run an online store at uwase.rw and mobile apps, and we deliver across Kigali with Cash on Delivery and MTN MoMo. We are a small, fast-moving team, so everyone who joins now helps shape how the company grows.
The role
You will make Uwase Mart the online store people in Kigali love to follow. Every day you will turn our products, deals and customer stories into scroll-stopping photos, short videos and posts, in Kinyarwanda and English. You will plan the content calendar, shoot and edit, publish across our channels, reply to the community, and learn from the numbers what works.
What you will do
- Plan a weekly content calendar around new products, promotions, seasons and local moments.
- Shoot clean product photos and short vertical videos (Reels, TikToks, Stories), and edit them on your phone or computer.
- Write captions in Kinyarwanda and English that are clear, warm and make people want to shop.
- Publish and schedule across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, WhatsApp Status and Channels, and LinkedIn.
- Reply to comments and messages and pass orders and complaints to the customer care team quickly.
- Improve product photos and descriptions on uwase.rw so products look their best.
- Help run paid campaigns on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) within a set budget, and report the results.
- Find and work with local creators and partners on collaborations.
- Track reach, engagement, clicks and sales from social, and share a simple monthly report with ideas to improve.
What you will bring
Must have:
- A portfolio that shows you can create good photos and short videos. Personal or freelance work counts.
- Strong eye for light, framing and editing, using tools such as CapCut, Canva or Lightroom.
- Fluent Kinyarwanda and good written English.
- A good understanding of Instagram, TikTok and Facebook in Rwanda: what people watch, share and buy.
- A smartphone that takes good photos and video.
- Organised and reliable: you post on time, every time.
Nice to have:
- Experience managing social media for a business or brand.
- Experience with Meta Ads Manager.
- Skills in Adobe Premiere, After Effects or Photoshop.
- Comfortable on camera, presenting products.
- A diploma or degree in communications, marketing, media or design.
What we offer
- RWF 250,000 to 400,000 gross per month, depending on experience and portfolio, paid monthly.
- RSSB social security and the other benefits required by Rwandan labour law.
- Creative freedom to define how Uwase Mart looks and sounds online.
- A monthly mobile data allowance for content work.
- Learning on the job across content, paid ads and e-commerce.
Working hours
Full-time, about 45 hours a week. Some flexibility for shoots, events and occasional weekend posting.
Our hiring process
