About Uwase Mart
Uwase Mart is a 100% Rwandan-owned company on a simple mission: make quality everyday goods accessible to every Rwandan household at honest, transparent prices. We run an online store at uwase.rw and mobile apps, and we deliver across Kigali with Cash on Delivery and MTN MoMo. We are a small, fast-moving team, so everyone who joins now helps shape how the company grows.
The opportunity
Delivery riders are independent riders who deliver Uwase Mart orders to homes and offices across Kigali. You choose when you are available. We send you delivery requests nearby, you pick up the order, deliver it on time and collect payment for Cash on Delivery orders. You are not an employee: you are paid for every delivery you complete, and you are free to work with others too.
How it works
- Sign up with the "Apply now" button.
- Onboarding. We call you, check your documents in person and give you a short briefing on how we pick up, handle and hand over orders.
- Get requests. When you are available, we send delivery requests by phone or WhatsApp. You accept the ones that suit you.
- Deliver. Pick up, deliver on time, and collect cash or confirm MoMo payment for Cash on Delivery orders.
- Get paid every week by MTN MoMo for all completed deliveries, with a clear statement.
What you earn
- RWF 1,000 to 3,000 for each completed delivery, based on distance: near (up to 3 km), mid (up to 8 km) and far. Exact rates are shared at onboarding.
- Payment every week by MTN MoMo to a number registered in your name.
- More requests for reliable riders with great customer feedback.
What you need
- Your own motorbike, or one you are allowed to use, in good condition with valid insurance and technical inspection (contrôle technique).
- A valid category A driving licence.
- A valid national ID.
- A smartphone with WhatsApp and mobile data, and an MTN MoMo account in your name.
- A helmet and a clean, safe way to carry parcels. We can help with a delivery bag.
- Good knowledge of Kigali streets, and a polite, honest and punctual approach.
- Two referees who can vouch for you, because riders handle customers' goods and cash.
Our promise to riders
- Clear, fair rates shared before you accept a delivery.
- Weekly payments, on time.
- Respect: our team will always treat you as a partner.
- We never charge a fee to join. If anyone asks you for money to ride with us, please report it to info@uwase.rw.
